EP: 21 "Still Thawing Out”

1:03 Well, it is still, I think we can, instead of it being icy busy, it is slushy busy, where we can wait one to three minutes in the morning and afternoon to, that will change next week for sure. Once everything kind of completely is thawed and back to normal, but make sure you're still paying attention while you're driving. Cause now it's not the snow and ice as much, but as many as the roads are still kind of one lane because of downed trees where branches and trees are still leaning or hanging onto the road. So you can hurt your car if you get too close to the edge while driving. So pay double attention there. It'll take a while for the county, city, and homeowners to get those roads cleaned up. Cumberland 100, everything is still closed on construction out there because of that. Since people haven't left their houses since Saturday last time when the snow and ice started so no construction updates there red light update we still got three old cox public publics and walmart and we'll be getting eventually one at city center city center progress has kind of been paused over the couple weeks of weather here we'll see what happens when they pick up they were still working on drain engine you can see the giant pile of dirt in the back and until that pile of dirt's gone then nothing major exciting is going to start happening we're growing well uh it's still kind of a mess outside it's been a crazy week in our town and our state. The Fairview Then and Now Facebook group seems to have been the glue for the town with so many requests for helps that were answered and advice on road conditions and power status. Thank you so much for the Fairview High School and the team that supported them from our

2:36 local police and fire rescue team members, the Williamson County Sheriff and all the volunteers for everything they did to help those in need. This is the reason we live in a small town. We We were growing up, but in this instance, during the storm, we felt like a real small town with so many people there for one another. With just 14 people right now in our town and the whole service area, which is about seven or eight people in Fairview area without power, things are much better from the 14,000 that we had earlier in our area. The cleanup process for the city, they have posted that they will run the chipper service if items are placed curbside.

3:17 And if you hire a contractor to clean it up, it's their responsibility to dispose of the items and they cannot use the chipper service. They mentioned the next week or two. So no exact timelines were given from the city yet. We'll probably hear some more details on that at the Board of Commissioners meeting later this week. Bowie Park is still closed and may be for a while based on the number of paths disrupted and trees down. So we'll have to kind of play that by ear. I've also put the link to the MTE outage map for service concerns so that you've got that if you ever need it again TDOT sent us an update and said that they are going to be doing pothole patching from 2 9 to 2 13 9 a.m to 3 p.m there will be multiple lane closures in both directions on state route 96 and there's some sewer and gas work that will start 8 at 8 p.m to 5 a.m there'll be lane closures both the directions for sewer and gas and that's around mile marker 10 on there and then williamson county state road 100 sidewalk construction is daily 9 a.m to 3 p.m excluding weekends there'll be lane closures in both directions as the sidewalk flaggers will be utilized and this is mile marker 3 to 5.5 which is basically around the school where you've seen the construction as they've been working on that intersection and then the widening project that has to do all that. Development codes stuff. Basically, February 10th is now our new meeting for the planning commission and board of commissioners is still on the calendar at

4:51 February 10th at 7 p.m. That's our public hearing. And our first public hearing, the first one was a working session that we covered last week on there. Houses. Well, right now we went down from 195 from 211 since last week. The same highs, there's a $3.4 million house and a $245,000 townhouse, which is the price reduced there. So definitely check that out if you're interested there. Town meeting updates. So there was no board of zoning appeals, no planning commission since last time, and it got canceled. Board of commissioners, there's a meeting tonight. And the meeting tonight, basically, we've got some public announcements, awards and recognitions. They're going to obviously talk about the warming shelter and the volunteers and all the things they did there. Uh, they also, uh, the staff comments, we're going to have some economic development report. And basically it was them recapping them going to a training and their goals to like attract, like one of the objectives here is to attract new businesses to the city while supporting growth and retention of existing businesses, market and promote economic development through social media websites and other.

5:59 Some of the new business activities, they're working with a business that purchased land for relocating its headquarters to Fairview. And this project will bring 50 jobs and 25 new positions to the area. So nothing exposed there. They're also working with a restaurant group with site selector locations and continuing to work with a medical group that plans to expand into our Fairview area. And then they talked about their building permit revenue. and I posted those screenshots because that were actually in the agenda. Usually the agenda doesn't have enough detail for me to really cover much in it. Uh, and I just have to wait until the meeting's done, but this time it's a little different. So basically, um, they had a, uh, you know, operating facility. So total. So the second quarter of 26, uh, that we're kind of in we're at 541,000, which is a 54% increase from the second quarter of 25. And then the property tax analysis, which is real interesting, it says that the second quarter we had 282,000, whereas in 2025, we had 325,000. So I don't know where 15% of that tax money went. We'll have to see that. And then we see our sales tax analysis, $1.1 million came from it last time and 1.181 came from the last time in 2025. So that's a 1.61% drop there. And then we had a little bit of

7:30 a smaller window of year to date, July through December, $836,000 in building permits in 2026 and 718,000. So that's a 14% growth. And then in sales and property tax, again, there $346,000 in 2026, 352,000 in 2025, losing 1.54. And the sales tax was a gain of that same period of $2.3 million or 2.33 million to 2.31 million, which is a 0.7% increase there. So we'll have to hear what they actually say to kind of explain some of that stuff because the sales tax and the property tax is interesting as we've been growing so many properties and that could be just because we're in mid-development of those things so we'll have to see new business they've got resolution 326 which is a public hearing proposed on the annexation of a unit going with rs40 coming on this is northwest highway 5.38 acres so we'll see what we're stuffing in there the resolution doesn't have any real details in it so we'll have to wait for that resolution 426 uh the proclamation declaring the civil emergency done i guess is probably what they're going to be talking about there and the resolution of that the discussion of contractor compliance issues and non-compliance with the approved work start times and speeding in residential areas this is commissioner buffalini

9:01 bringing this up so we'll see what that comes from and then we've got round table and meeting kind of adjournment there's no board of commissioners town hall uh planned no need new meeting since last show parks and landscape board around town coffee or beer board um and then i also still have the links and uh some of the summary stuff for the first development code work session that was on 122 26 before the storm came so definitely watch that uh and uh you know get get a little more into it uh planning commission just like we said february 10th board of commissioners um february 5th that's the show day here uh so that'll be we'll we'll do that the next week we'll recap that meeting that'll probably be a two or three hour one uh board commissioner town hall uh was at the end of the month and so now it's going to be at the end of this month parks and landscape board uh said february 2nd at 7 p.m i don't know if they met or not there wasn't any notes anything like that the development next development code meeting is february 10th next week around town coffee february 11th and that is going to be a vintage millwork millworks on highway 96 no beer board plan the state of tennessee well this will probably be our longest section of it but i think it's probably very relevant to what's going on the music city loop has an update they're preparing the machines for the party since december 1 update the team has been focused on preparing the Proofrock MB1 to begin tunneling. As our previous blog stated, Proofrock MB1 arrived on site and was installed prior to December 1. Since then, the team has been

10:35 working extensively to complete final preparations and be ready to start tunneling in parallel with the second machine, which is Proofrock MB2, which will ship to Nashville in March. So there's a link to the URL if you want to learn more about it. But this one instead, I kind of, Governor Lee had his last state of the state as this is his last year of his term. This is his seventh year going into eighth year when we look at the calendar eventually when it gets to 27. As a couple notes from here, please watch the full street, read the transcripts. But I've took a couple things from the transcript.

11:17 So everything that I going to be reading I do from him so that there no summarization because I think he did a good job of kind of keeping some of these points clear and concise So one of the things he thanked is he thinks that you know, we drove the Tennessee's poverty rate below the national average for the first time in history. You reached the lowest reticivism rate. You created the best business environment in America. You passed unprecedented pay raises for law enforcement and a 42% pay raise for teachers. In the midst of that, you responded to tornadoes, floods, pandemics, a Christmas bombing, a hurricane, and ice storms now. And all the while, you modernized our transportation system, created 14 new state parks, cleared rural brownfields, and protected our rivers. Just like these moments I spent with Tennessee soldiers who had spent Christmas 7,000 miles away from there.

12:15 Three weeks ago, Maria and I traveled to visit the Tennessee National Guardsmen stationed in Kuwait and then in Germany. We slept in the barracks. We ate the meals in the mess hall. We witnessed life for your and your neighbors in a long way from here, protecting and defending our liberty and freedom that you and I enjoy right here in America. Clearly, Tennessee likes freedom. Last year, we received more than 40,000 applications, and this year we received 54,000 applications. And so for the 20,000 spots that right now, that means 34,000 students are still waiting for a shot at education freedom, and we owe it to them. The federal resources delivered by the Trump administration, the dozens of agencies working side to side, the relentless bipartisanship that has proven all the cities wrong, the Herculean effort, in fact, that was created by generational change, created generational change in Memphis. Crime is down 55% in Shelby County, with the lowest monthly crime totals in over 25 years.

13:16 More than 5,000 criminals have been arrested and remarkably dozens of missing children have been found. We now have opportunities like this thanks to Trump and the administration. Resources have become available through the Rural Health Transformation Fund awarded just one month ago that will provide Tennessee with more than $1 billion over the next five years to transform health care in our rural communities all across the state. That's a billion dollars now for our rural hospitals, our rural EMS, and our rural primary care doctors. Considering this, over the last eight years, our state's revenue has increased by more than 50%. But over those same eight years, with the exception of boosting law enforcement, we have actually reduced the number of government employees by 1,100.

14:05 That is fiscal stewardship. stewardship. The Tennessee nuclear fund that you helped create has already recruited $8 billion in investment from the leading nuclear companies around the world, creating thousands of new jobs and more along the way. That's why we are proposing an additional $25 million to the nuclear fund this year. Tennessee's nuclear energy innovation is unlike any state in America. Since the days of the Manhattan Project, generations of East Tennesseans have kept the legacy alive. In the 1940s, a pipe fitter from Oak Ridge helped build the K-25 program, K-25 building, and his wife rode the bus to and from the secret city every day. Tennessee, 250 years from now, what will they say of us? Were we strong and courageous, faithful, committed, certain? Did we come together to meet the challenges we face with courage, optimism, and the belief in each other. If we meet the challenges of this moment, just as we have for the last seven years together, future generations will say of us they were Tennesseans. It has been the highest honor of my life to serve alongside you, and I will cherish our final year together. And in that year, May the Lord grant his favor and blessings on the people and the places that make this great state of Tennessee.

15:31 Thank you. Great job. Great speech. Obviously, it felt like I was jumping around, and it was just because I was grabbing quotes of some of the specific sections. They were unique when it came to nuclear, when it came to schools, when it came to tax revenue, and when it came to, obviously, the closing of it. So I was trying to keep some of those high points there. I tried to look on a couple websites. No one summarized it in any way, so there wasn't really anything for me to glean from that, and I figured it would be better just to go and keep it pure. Last but not least, there are leftover turkey WMA permits available. That's our third item of news, and I've got the link there, too, so if you want to go hunt some turkey, there's extra tags to be taped.

16:14 All right, the bills. They have a fiscal review today, and next week they'll be talking about pensions. Uh, so two, five and two, nine, uh, is the council on that. The fiscal review today is, you know, a review on statewide contracts, agency terms, contracts, uh, the Tennessee public utility commissions. Um, basically I left this in here. I'm not going to read every single one of this, but these are all the companies that are working with the state of Tennessee to do things like, uh, Teltex is working with the public utility commission. Pick TN store LLC is working on the agricultural side. environmental is spruce environmental technologies and transportation is that so we just kind of go through all that and it also shows some of the health care companies that are working with us within 10 care there's also the companies that are working with us within the health department and some presentations on axon enterprise and as an associated and a couple other things there so definitely kind of check that out and then the next week the february 9th that agenda basically just says that they're talking about a state bill two zero one eight and state bill two zero one seven so it's a housekeep tcrs housekeeping bill and a temporary disability credit state um so definitely we'll have to see kind of you know we normally don't get anything from that so we'll see how's the hill well back to how's the hill you know it's definitely slushy and trees all over the place, but not too bad.

17:46 So it's way better than it was last week, but it's getting there. So this is actually a real how's the hill section. The weather guessers were really wrong on the blizzard storm with 3 to 24 inches. We'll see how that goes. I guess it's kind of a huge range right now, But like what we were able to see is, you know, we ended up getting a good amount of snow. But then from there, it kind of went from there. So we've got high of 68 by next Tuesday with a low of 54 and a low to 25. So the temperatures are definitely pretty rain ranging. We've got a little bit of possible chance of some showers on Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

18:30 So we'll see how that goes. And we'll see if the weather guessers are guessing right. New businesses. Well, nothing new spotted. Ace Hardware is definitely getting closer. They paused for that. A lot of progress outside. Other than that, I haven't spotted anything new coming up, and we're waiting for there. There's still a couple of properties for sale in our area. There's still just two properties, one on Dragstrip Road and Loblolly Pine Boulevard. They're still for sale. Farmer's Market. Make sure you head to the Farmer's Market every Saturday morning, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Messer Chiropractic and Fairview Fresh Deli Donuts for their life-changing apple fritters located across the road from Publix. There are so many good places to get breads, treats, local beef, pork, local fruits, and vegetables, along with some hot sauces, fishing lures, and other gifts.

19:14 Remember, a lot of that stuff is kind of seasonal, and it's going to be a cold weekend, so we'll see how busy things are. Local business highlights. So I'm going to go ahead and go with the mainframe hair salon. This is just one of our local hair salons with a barber. If you need a trim, color, or shave, they have someone for you. Make sure you book your appointments as they fill up fast. As a dude, I love having the new barber, Michael Ciampa, for a great fade and shave. We haven't had that for a while here. There's a couple of places that do some of that around town. I know when I'm in there, there's a lot of women getting their hair done. So I'm sure everyone is in good hands there with their amazing crew there. The reviews are outstanding, so you should be going and we've got the link there. So if you need your hair did, it's one of the options that you've got. Job openings. Well, there's still basically 40 jobs from 31 from last week. So we're still, you know, growing and, but now we're staying the same. So basically there's 40 jobs listed on the way on our website right now for McDonald's. Basically you think about it's every restaurant, pretty much every store. And most every business has a job opening of at least one for you to be able to do something. And then there's businesses that don't have brick and mortar storefronts that you can still get a job at, right? So like Welch Associates and a couple other places there, but that's at the Fairview Car Wash, top tier Pup Academy. So there's things all over the place. So it's good. So there's lots of good jobs. If you ever have a job opening, just shoot it to the contact form on the website. But otherwise, we're just kind of scraping indeed

20:49 to do that history nugget well the spanish explorer in 1567 the spanish explorer captain juan pardo uh was the first to use the word tennessee during an expedition in the summer of 1567 uh and this is after the whole uh uh i guess the spanish coming up there and going through there 1673 so kind of a big pause there and this is in vanderbilt's website here the europeans resumed exploration of the region, the English merchants James Needham and Gabriel Arthur from Charlestown, South Carolina, crossed the Appalachian Mountains to establish trade with the Cherokee and eastern Tennessee. The French progressed from the west, led by Father Jacques Marquette and the fur trader Louis Jolette, who came down the Mississippi River. Both constructed strong arguments for the light of the land to the west of the Appalachian Mountains. So 1673 is when things started to get a little more exciting as basically the French and the Europeans were basically meeting in the middle after the Spanish had already been here. So cool stuff there.

February 7th, there was the Sweetheart Dance, that's this weekend ages 5 to 14 and that at the Williamson County Enrichment Center And so there two dances 3 to 5 and 6 to 7 So make sure you sign up there Always a fun time February 26th through 28th is the Winter Book Sale at the Peblich Library.

This is their first four-man scramble golf tournament coming up. Uh, then we have the Easter egg hunt in March, and then we hired the arts and crafts fair in May 2nd, uh, voting calendar. This is the season, uh, for that. And so April is when some of that's going to start. April, uh, six is your last day to register and early voting for the County primary is April 15th through 30th. And then obviously the early voting for the state and primary is July 17th through August 1st. And then early voting for the federal elections is October 14th through 29th and early voting there.

23:47 For the kids. Well, there are still tons of activities and sports to keep your kids engaged. There are some cheer programs, recreation teams for baseball, basketball, football, and others. They have 10 school days in the budget, but I hope this is our last no for the season because I think we agree we are full. uh february 12th through 15th next week we will have midwinter break which is in celebration of president's day hawk and tiger news no new news since last week falcon news the newsletter was on time this week and we're still there since the storm some people have damaged the fields with atvs cars trucks suvs doing donuts in the front of it and especially in the back which is the practice soccer field and the track that they walk around there so this is going to cost money and time and affect those teams so definitely do not do that sledding down the hill is one thing but doing donuts over there and destroying that property is another thing congratulations to both the both basketball teams for finishing first in the wcs tournament and getting ready for the next round the bowling team had a match yesterday at hillsborough and having another bowling match coming up on this thursday the valentine's day dance uh come starts at 6 p.m on friday this is the first notice we saw this is kind of a late bloomer it seems like there wasn't weeks of

26:01 notifications of this uh there will be a competitive robot robotics team is still available um the athletics field we already talked about that and the screener did it do yep yep uh there is a winter screener starting february 3rd so we'll help us find that um between that talk they talk obviously talk more uh about the um summer bridge camp and more discussions have come from that uh along with uh the reward school stuff the extra copies were sent around their seventh grade monica burr lessons the lessons of seventh grade will be done on the week of rescheduled for the week of february 9th so if you want to opt your kids out or learn more about it just look up the Monica Burr lessons of that for seventh grade. This is always an easy way to show your student that you're paying attention to them and their schedule and giving them a little something to make their day a little more better. Rising freshman night at FHS is now February 18th for all rising ninth grade families coming out of eighth grade. uh the eighth grader course selection will be february 19th through march 5th in the fms library fairview high school counselors will be meeting with students to figure out what they're going to do and if you're just like we've said before as your kid has the iep then that will be completed through that process and you'll be notified that way new textbook new textbook review is happening right now in the county when it comes to health pe and high school lifetime wellness and other cte courses related to IT and advanced manufacturing.

28:34 So we'll see how that all goes. Jacket news. They sent a schedule update, but no big updates since last week. Just discussing how the schedule from last week would be pushing. Basketball senior night versus Spring Hill tip at 6 p.m. on the 5th coming home. Montgomery Central coming home. Festivities will occur between the girls and both games. Girls tip off is at 6 p.m. We'll have a pep rally to celebrate coming home 2026. And then the next week, coming home week, we'll have the dress up where we have student teacher swap day, dress your age, white lies, Disney villains. And then finally that Friday jacket pride with the snow.

29:17 I'm guessing some of the ladies football stuff will get rescheduled. That was January 25th. No reschedule there. January 30th is the coming home. So that probably got there. and then some of the midwinter break stuff and everything there. And May 21st is our last day, last half day for students. So just so that you've got that kind of in your calendar and so you don't forget that you got to get home early that day. And then April 3rd is a spring holiday for Good Friday there. Fairview Recreation Association needs umpires. So we've still got that link in there. Meeting January 31st at 10 p.m. and February 21st at 1 p.m. at the ballpark. So they still have that posted.

This week I heard a great sermon from our very own One Church Home and that I felt was good to be able to do on here. I almost put the whole thing in here because it resonated so well. but I just wanted to put the wrap up part on this, which is basically the end of it. Pastor Ian Gilchrist talked about how we need to start strong in 2026, and that starts with a family and in your home. You need to have a strong family at home, and the church family is just a part of it.

30:39 It's a great message to our kids about what they learn from their parents and their parents' marriage. So here we go. I hope this hits us in our heart this year. If your marriage hasn't looked like this, it needs to shift. if our marriage hasn't been in a place where we're constantly championing each other lifting each other up covering each other then we're missing and nothing else matters this year I don't care how much you serve in the church how great you are in the marketplace if this isn't right then what else matters it's all for nothing well I've just been working hard to do There are seasons where you gotta work hard.

31:24 There's seasons where we have to be focused. I get that. But when we do it in a healthy marriage, we will have transformed lives. But when we do it in a broken marriage, we will destroy lives. Jesus loved the church, sacrificially sanctifying and sustaining the church. men aren't called to rule over their homes they're called to lay their lives down for them i got people really upset with me one time because i said listen i when i when i hear that it sounds like he's saying that that men need to like die for their brides like their wants and their desires and everybody's like whoa whoa whoa when Jesus said he's going to give me the desires of my heart.

I actually believe that the healthiest marriages are going to be found on the other side of both parties laying everything down before each other and saying, listen, I know I want to do this. I want to accomplish this. I want to do this. But I care more about serving you than about getting what I want. And likewise, the bride's saying the same to the husband. And so they willfully choose where to focus, what to work on in this season. Maybe it's the husband's career. and this season it's the wife's dream. But the way it works is from health. Not thinking I can run the race of the American dream and somehow arrive at a biblical marriage. I've got to start from biblical marriage and then pursue that which God has called me to.

33:06 Marriage is a missional witness. when it works, Paul says people see Christ. And then we can quickly move to the children because I'm really going. Strong marriages don't just raise healthy kids. They preach the gospel every day. Ephesians 6, 1 through 4 says this. Children, obey your parents in the Lord for it is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise that it may be well with you and you may live long in the earth. I tell my kids that every day.

Paul quotes the fifth commandment and the first with a promise as he's speaking to children, children in the room, young people in the room, as you hear this, there is something profoundly important about realizing, right? I did youth ministry for years Like middle schoolers can be just so bizarre I got a bunch of them right now in my own house but but learning to see it like if I could just grab young people for a second and say, if you could just see the opportunity you have, if you have, if you have an opportunity to, to, to see your parents living out a healthy marriage, not a perfect marriage, but a healthy biblical marriage. There's so much power in listening to them and learning from them.

34:43 Paul is speaking to this reality. He's saying, listen, obedience to your parents is not just about getting the chore done. It's about aligning with God's order in life. Honoring your parents trains the heart before the world starts to test it. So parents, as we think about raising and rearing our children and growing them. We have to realize that it's far less about you getting them to do what you want, which I'm gonna be honest, most of the time, like that's my, I shouldn't say these things in front of a thousand people, but I'm like, no, just take the dog out.

35:23 And they're like, no. Remember the verse about living? But I just want them to get the dog out. What I forget to do so often is realizing instead of yelling at them and screaming at them or just going, forget it, I'll do it myself, is no, when I'm teaching you to obey me, I'm preparing you to obey God. When I'm teaching you to honor me, I'm teaching you to honor God. When I'm teaching you to honor your mother and not talk to her that way, I'm teaching you how to honor God. God, I'm showing you what it's going to be like before the world tests you and pressures you and starts taking you where you never went to go.

36:07 Our discipline, our correction, our intentionality as parents is preparing our children to hear from their heavenly father and obey him and honor him and trust him and follow him. That's the purpose of this. and I think so often especially in the American culture that we tend to have we think provision is the antidote to parenting but he gives instruction here he says bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord these two words here in Greek it means intentional formation and corrective instruction that means that we don't have just a mandate to provide for our children yeah they like you made them so you need to pay for them that's kind of the way it works but far deeper parents we have a responsibility to intentionally form our children to help their ears hear the the sound of heaven and then to correctively instruct them to to to grow in the way that pushes them toward Jesus, to model for them what a healthy marriage looks like.

37:25 Yes, so you can have a healthy marriage, but also so they know what to look for. So they know what to long for in a spouse, what matters, what doesn't matter. Because I promise you what the world is feeding our kids is the things that don't matter really do and the things that do matter really don't. and so we've got to decide no I'm going to intentionally form and correctively instruct my children because I have a responsibility and duty to do that to train them and admonish them in the Lord this is spiritual parenting not passive parenting we don't correct our kids just because we're angry with them and we don't not correct our kids because we don't want to traumatize them don't even get me started some of your kids need traumatizing you can provide financially and still fail spiritually we don't raise children to be successful we raise children to be faithful you hear what i'm saying at some point we got to decide what matters most is my kid being successful in life the most important thing or is it to be faithful. I could teach my kids how to be cunning. I could teach my kids how to backstab. I could teach my kids how to get to the top no matter the cost, but they are going to be empty and bankrupt eternally if I do that. So I'm either teaching them how to win in this world or win in

38:59 the kingdom. And I'm declaring in my house, I want to serve the kingdom. The family in the church is a multiplying design from Deuteronomy. Faith is taught in the home. Psalms, God builds through family. Acts chapter two, the church gathered house to house, family to family. The church doesn't replace the family, it reinforces it. And the family doesn't replace the church, it reflects it. The church is healthiest when families arrive already formed, not spiritually starved. Why does this have to be a priority in 2026? because in this culture, marriage is undervalued, parenting is outsourced, and identity is confused from an early age.

39:45 We can stop that. We can be different. Because the biblical reality is God works generationally and faith is most often transferred relationally. And revival lasts longer if it starts in the homes. We cry out as charismatic, revival, revival, revival. You know what would bring revival? If a thousand people in Fairview, Tennessee decided to start investing in marriages and relationships, stopped worrying about programming and what we're accomplishing, started focusing on what matters most and allowing, again, whatever influence you have, maybe you're going, oh, I'm single, or I'm just married, we don't have kids.

40:34 To the degree you can implement this, start then with worship. Start being a worshiper, a prayer. Pray in the private places. We're gonna talk in a few weeks to come about fasting. Start being somebody who's intimate with God and allow revival to get born out of that. Start being intentional about first worshiping and then investing in your marriage and let revival come from that. Start being intentional with your kids and purposeful about admonishing them and raising them, correcting them and actually drawing them closer to the heart of God so they can hear him. And watch revival flow from that. If revival's gonna start in the church, it's gotta start in the home.

41:15 It's not gonna be because we have some great music where the pitch is perfect one day and all of a sudden everybody goes, that was great. Let's start revivaling. It's gonna happen because a bunch of people gather their families close or get personal with God and they start having intimacy with the Father and they have intimacy with each other and they start growing in community and start pouring out their heart and it starts to catch on like wildfire and take over the world. That's where revival gets born. If we win Sundays but lose our homes, we haven't won a single thing. So as we start strong in 2026, we gotta take personal reflection.

42:01 Ask ourselves the question, Is my marriage reflecting Christ or is it resisting him? Am I spiritually present in my home or am I simply providing for it? And what would change in our church and in our culture, in our community and in our nation if we all as a family started pursuing God together? This year is not about building services. We're building families. Because when families are strong, the church is strong. so that we might be able to say as a church, as a community, individual and corporately, like Joshua 24, 15 says, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

42:49 Amen? Amen and amen. Let me pray for you and we'll get rolling. Father, we love you. We thank you for who you are. We thank you for your words toward us. we thank you for the ability and the freedom to worship you to obey you that you've given us and provided for us a word that gives us instruction for life and godliness so today as we think on these things as we meditate on these things I pray that you would plant them deep in our heart that not one of these seeds would be lost or stolen but it would just, it would be all over us to say, this year, I wanna be more intimate with God.

43:35 I wanna be closer with my bride, my spouse. I wanna walk more in alignment with your word. I wanna raise my kids up with intentionality. I wanna see revival come from the house to the church, to the world. So God, come and do what only you can. sow these troops deep in our heart and bring them to life in jesus name amen amen amen amen welcome back i hope there were a couple nuggets in there and that they were relevant and resonated with you on how important our family is and how our church family weaves into our lives the advice on how to raise kids and what we're preparing them for along with some of the quotes were great and so relevant to kids in this day and age.
